Dr. Harris graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1971. He then attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN and went on to attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for Pre Vet courses. He graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He began practicing in Austin, TX before establishing Animal Care Center of Mt. Juliet in 1984. He has enjoyed over 25 years of practice and service in the community. He has been married to Denise Dollend since 1985 has two children, Drew and Haley. In his spare time, Dr. Harris is actively involved at church and enjoys all things related to cattle. **Dr. Mike is currently unavailable to see clients as he suffered from a stroke in Septemeber. Dr. Sarah Gordon (McKenzie) is originally from Dickson, Tennessee and currently lives in Nashville with her husband, Pat, and her dogs Maggie (mixed breed princess) and Waylon (mixed breed cowboy). Dr. Gordon (McKenzie) graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine before returning to Middle Tennessee. Dr. Gordon enjoys emergency and critical care and internal medicine. Before she joined our team, she worked at the Animal Hospital in Clarksville (2008-2010) and Rivergate Pet Emergency Clinic (2010-2011). She also loves to spend time outside hiking, running, biking and music festivals. Dr. Gordon is passionate about helping improve the lives of animals through high quality medicine and compassion.
Dr. Erica Fenton attended Davidson College in North Carolina and the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). She completed an internship in small animal internal medicine, surgery and emergency at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Fenton enjoys internal medicine, geriatric care, pain management, and chocolate Labradors. She lives in Nashville with Finnegan, a Labrador Retriever, and Happy, a hound mix. She spends her free time running, playing soccer, attending concerts, wine tasting, and doing anything on the water. Dr. Fenton is a veterinarian because she loves animals and loves medicine - what's a better combination?.
